Basic Sorbet Recipe

2 cups liquid (water, orange juice, etc)

½ – 1 cup of sugar (depending on which fruit you are using)

2 cups fruit puree

Pinch of salt

2-3 tbsp lemon juice (unless using citrus fruit or juice)

  1. In a saucepan, combine liquid and sugar and bring to boil stirring from time to time. Make sure the sugar has dissolved. Cool.
  2. Stir in fruit puree
  3. Transfer to the ice cream machine and follow manufacturer’s instructions or follow these instructions for making ice cream without a machine.
