The title of this blog is inspired by the greatest miracle we have been privileged to witness – the ingathering of the exiles. The harmonious blend of Hebrew, English, Russian, Spanish, French, and various Jewish-Arabic dialects spoken on the streets of my Jerusalem suburb serves as a constant reminder of just how fortunate I am to be living in this time and place.

Beyond that, Ingathered echoes my diverse background (born in Russia, brought up in the US, and living in Israel), which together with my professional involvement in languages as an owner of a translation agency, has turned my life into an amazing multi-cultural mélange, reflected in my reading habits, hobbies, and even cooking style (more on that in the recipes section).
